In-Prison Day Retreats

THC Logo Day Event #1c3972

launches July 2025

The Heart Center’s In-Prison Day Retreats will provide sound therapy, meditation, journaling, nervous system education and development, nourishing food, and more. We’ve hosted these retreats everywhere: for school family staff, or at our personalized retreats on boats near the healing ocean and near lakes among the nestling waters and starting July 2025: we're bring them inside of prisons!

Through these retreats, we aim to break the cycles of trauma and recidivism, creating a path for individuals to reintegrate into society with resilience, emotional well-being, purpose and most of all, with tools that can support our body, mind, and heart.

The Heart Center Application

THCPhoneMockup

We are creating an application that will provide 3 to 4 live guided meditations tailored for individuals inside prisons and CDCR officers. These sessions aim to promote relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional well-being for all participants. Recently, the Director of Rehabilitation, who oversees all programming within California prisons, expressed strong support for our initiative, stating it aligns perfectly with "The California Model." The Director recognizes the app's potential benefits for both incarcerated individuals and correctional officers, emphasizing the importance of mental wellness in fostering a more compassionate and rehabilitative environment. By providing these resources, we strive to enhance the overall well-being of those affected by the prison system.

Meditation Broadcast in Prison

THC Logo Day Event #1c3972

We are thrilled to announce that our guided meditation sessions are now featured on the Wellness Channel, reaching 48,000 televisions inside prisons. This initiative aims to provide individuals impacted by incarceration with accessible resources for relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional healing. Meditation offers numerous benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving focus and concentration, and enhancing emotional resilience. By incorporating guided meditation into their daily lives, participants can cultivate inner peace and greater self-awareness, fostering personal growth and connection. We believe everyone deserves access to wellness practices, making this partnership a vital step in promoting healing and transformation within the prison system.
